UNPLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – LAUTOKA
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers living in some parts of Lautoka area that they will be experiencing low water pressure to no water from this afternoon (11/02/2022) until further notice.
Affected areas include:
Tavakubu Stage 5
Waiyavi Stage 5
The interruption in water supply is due to high customer demand in usage causing low levels at the Kashmir Reservoir and our Bulk and Operation team will be closely monitoring the system until it normalises.
We urge our customers to conserve and always store sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least two to three days in their homes at all times and to use water wisely during this period.
Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in case of an emergency by calling 5777 (all mobile networks).
We also encourage customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalise.
For further enquiries, customers can call 3346777 or short code 5777 (all mobile networks) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
