UNPLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – TAMAVUA WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND TOVATA SYSTEM
The Water Authority of Fiji would like to advise its customers that due to the highly turbid raw water affecting water treatment production, reservoirs within the Tovata System will experience low production levels.
Our customers living in the areas listed below will experience disruptions to their water supply as reservoir levels recede.
Customers are kindly advised to store in their homes, while it is still available, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
Affected areas:
– Tamavua Reservoir – Low pressure to no water
All feeding from Tamavua Reservoir, Princess Road, Rewa Street, Ratu Sukuna, Nailuva, Namadi Heights, Delainavesi, Lami Village, Veisari, Panaromic, Waiqanake, Togalevu.
– Nagatugatu Reservoir – Low pressure
All feeding from Nagatugatu Reservoir – Wrong Turn, Sakoca, Upper Khalsa, Tacirua Hts, Nagatugatu residents living beside the Reservoir.
– Tacirua Reservoir – No water
Elevated areas – Tamavua Koro, Upper Ragg, Deovji Street, Tacirua Bus, Amputch Street, Princess Road
– Dokanaisuva Reservoir – Low pressure
Elevated areas – Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, Vunuleba Settlement
– Coloisuva Reservoir – Low pressure
Elevated areas – Naisogo, Colo-i-Suva Crest Chicken, Princess Road, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri Nillgrey
Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in case of an emergency by calling 5777 (all mobile networks).
