The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers in Labasa that due to high raw water turbidity at the Benau Water Treatment Plant, caused by frequent backwashing, treated water production has been reduced to maintain water quality to a level that is safe for human consumption.
As a result, customers in the following areas are advised to expect a disruption in their water supply.

– Saint Augustine

– Qaloyaga
– Benau
– Naduna
– Uluinakavika
Volanau Reservoir:

– Bulileka
– Low Cost
– Mani Road
– Vitadra
– Urata
– Boca
– Dreketilailai
– Boubale
Customers are kindly advised to boil all drinking water before consumption, should they come across discoloured water in their taps.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and WAF treatment teams will continue monitoring incoming raw water quality and restore the plant to full production once safe to do so.
