The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers that due to high raw water turbidity, resulting from the rainfall in the catchment, inflow into the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant has been reduced to maintain water quality to a level that is safe for human consumption.
As a result, elevated customers in the following areas are advised to expect a disruption in their water supply.
Affected areas are:
Upper Delanivesi including:
Baka Road, Palm Drive (Lami), Lester Street, Sote Road 1& 2, Yadrana Settlement Road 1 & 2, Nakauvadra Road, Yasi Road, Kaunitoni Road, Qaranivalu Road (Lami), Bulou Road, Rogovoka Road, Naicobocobo Road
Upper Areas of Lami Village Road including:
Rokodrawe Road, Nakurukuru Village Access Road, Upper Valenicina Road, Qauia Street, Upper Naimawi Street, Waivote, Nakula Street, Kalekane Settlement Road, Panaromic Road, Muaivusor Road, Muaivuso Village, Waikanake Village, Osonabukete, Beniveli.
Upper Nailuva Road including:
Nararo Road, Raisara Street, Albert Lee, elevated areas along Matanitobua Street, Ritova Street, and Kini Street.
Pathik Cresent, Mika Dreu Place, Upper Mead Road (Between Princess Road and Lovoni Road), Upper Bureta Street, Maharaj Place, elevated areas along Lakeba Street, Fulaga and Moala Street.
Customers in the above areas are kindly advised to prepare accordingly and store in their homes, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days, for the time that water is available, and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and WAF treatment teams will continue monitoring incoming raw water quality and restore the plant to full production once safe to do so.
