The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers that the No 1 and 2 Waila Raw Water Pumps will be temporarily switched off to allow our technicians to carry out a detailed inspection of a leakage on the pumping main.
This necessary inspection will allow us to determine the extent of the leak and gauge the works required to rectify the leaking portion of the pumping main, and plan for full repair in the coming weeks.
As a result of these inspection works, inflow into the Waila Treatment Plant will be significantly affected as the raw water pump will need to be switched off to allow the teams to safely inspect the leaking sections of the pumping main.
As such, customers residing in the areas below may experience low water pressure to no water supply and are kindly advised to prepare accordingly and store in their homes, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days.
