UNPLANNED DISRUPTION – LAUTOKA
Due to heavy rain and flooding leading to blockage of intake screens at the Nalau and Buabua dams which is impacting supply, we would like to advise valued customers in parts of Lautoka that they may experience low water pressure to no water from now until further notice.
We kindly advise customers living in the areas listed below to prepare accordingly and store water while it is available during this temporary disruption period.
Affected areas include:
-Teidamu
-Johnson
-Kings
-Drasa Dam
-Drasa No 1
-Drasa No 18
-Vitogo village
-Naviyago
-Qalitu
-Nakabula
WAF ground teams are currently cleaning the screens at both dams and we hope to have water supply normalised by this afternoon.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period and can be requested by calling 5777 (all mobile networks) or by email – contact@waf.com.fj
