Unplanned Disruption Notice – Tavua System
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) would like to advise our customers living in the areas mentioned below will be experiencing that due to the recent heavy rainfall and flooding in Nasivi River, our Nasivi raw water pumps have been clogged, affecting water production at the Vatukoula Water Treatment Plan and water levels at the service reservoirs in Tavua system. As a result this will cause disruptions to the water supply of residents in these areas until further notice.
Our team swill undertake diving works to clear the pump screens once the flood water levels recede and once it is safe to do so.
