The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living along elevated areas from Tamavua to Colo-i-Suva, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Tovata that they will experience low water pressure to intermittent water supply from now until 7 pm Wednesday (30/01).
The interruption in supply is due to an electrical fault at the Waila Treatment Plant which has affected the water pumps at the Treatment Plant, therefore, this has resulted in low volumes of water being pumped to the Tovata, Nagatugatu, Tacirua, Dokanaisuva and Colo-i-Suva Reservoirs.
WAF crew members are working around the clock to rectify the problem and re-stabilize the water system.
Water supply is expected to be normalised by 7 pm Wednesday (30/01).
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.
For any urgent water carting requests, members of the public are to contact the Authority’s National Call Centre toll-free line on 1507.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
For further enquiries, customers can call 3346777 and 5777 (Vodafone, Digicel & Inkk users) or email contact@waf.com.fj
