Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) customers living in parts of Sigatoka are currently experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply due to a 375mm burst main along Lawai in Sigatoka.
Affected Areas Include:
- Kedrakulu
- Part of Sigatoka Town
- Rakirakilevu
- Lawaqa
- Tulalevu
- Nasama Village
- Malaqereqere
- Cuvu
WAF ground team are currently carrying out urgent repair works and water carting trucks have been deployed to service the affected areas.
The Authority advises customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely and to store water for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
WAF urges all Fijians to practice self-reliance and to have at least 2 days worth of water stored at all times.
WAF also encourages customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
