The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in the following parts of Navua that water supply is currently interrupted until further notice.
Affected Areas Include:
- Queens Highway from Navua Bridge to Navua Hospital (Namelimeli)
- Tokotoko Highway, Qaributa, Namelimeli
- Tokotoko back Road, Togoru, Taiperia and Wainividio
- Calia, Calia back Road, Rio Settlement, Raiwaqa, Raiwaqa ALTA and Waiyanitu.
The interruption in supply is due to suspected blockages at the Wainikavika Dam.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
A diving team from the Authority will be deployed to clear the blockages at the dam tomorrow (19/06).
Water supply is expected to be gradually normalised once the blockages have been cleared.
