Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) customers living in elevated parts of Sigatoka may experience low water pressure to intermittent supply from 10am to 8pm on Friday (15/05).
Affected Areas Include:
- Nakalavo Village
- Naduri Village
- Nawamagi Village
- Narata Village
- Lawai Village
- Part of Sigatoka Town
- Nasama Village
- Cuvu Village
- Malevu Village
- Olo Olo
The interruption in water supply is to allow WAF ground teams to carry out cleaning works to the sedimentation tank at the Matovo Water Treatment Plant, which assists in water quality.
The Authority advises customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely and to store water for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
WAF urges all Fijians to practice self-reliance and to have at least 2 days worth of water stored at all times.
WAF also encourages customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time that water supplies normalise.
