The Water Authority of Fiji [WAF] wishes to advise its customers living in the following elevated parts of Ba that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply during the night from 9pm Friday evening (21/06/19) to 8am Monday morning [24/06/19].
Affected Areas Include:
• Balevuto area
• Nukuloa
• Nacaci
• Vatusui
• Parts of Naruku
• Kumkum
• Moto
• Tabataba
The interruption in supply is to allow WAF crew members to carry out operational works on DN 250 outlet trunk mains from Balevuto dam to direct water to the newly constructed 1.0 million litre (ML) reservoir at Balevuto. This work involves filling of the newly constructed 1.0 ML reservoir to its maximum level and carry out necessary assessments and hydrostatic testing of the reservoir.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Supply is expected to be gradually restored by 8am Monday morning [24/06/19].
