The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in parts of Lautoka who have been experiencing intermittent water supply that WAF is working to get water supply normalised.
Affected Areas Include:
- Vuda Reservoir Road
- Visesisei Back Road
- Vuda Back Road
- Esivo Road
- Lomolomo
- Lomolomo Public School Road
The interruption in supply is due to a defective 300mm high pressure valve on Vuda Reservoir inlet that had affected the flow of water, resulting in the drastic decrease of water levels at the Vuda reservoir in the last few weeks.
Customers in the areas above are advised that this will continue until the new high pressure valve arrives in the country this weekend, with an additional two days to allow installation works and restoring water supply to all affected areas.
Water supply is expected to be restored and by Wednesday 26th December 2018.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.
For water carting requests members of the public are to contact the Authority’s National Call Centre on 3346777 or 5777.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
For further enquiries, customers can call 3346777 and 5777 (Vodafone, Digicel & Inkk users) or email contact@waf.com.fj
