The Water Authority of Fiji [WAF] wishes to advise its customers living in the following elevated parts of Lautoka that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from 8.30pm Friday evening[07/06/19] to 8am Monday morning [10/06/19]. Affected Areas Include:
Tomuka area
Naikabula area
Buabua Rd
Vatamai Rd & Village
Tavakubu Back Road (Munshi Khan Road)
Drasa Dam Rd
Johnson Rd
Tropic Rd
The interruption in supply is to allow WAF crew members to carry out operational works on the DN 300 outlet trunk mains to direct water to the newly constructed 2 mega litre (ML) Reservoir at Buabua Water Treatment plant. This work involves filling the newly constructed 2 ML Reservoir to its maximum level and carring out the necessary assessments and hydrostatic testing of the reservoir.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas aboveto store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.Supply is expected to be gradually restored by 8am Monday morning(10/06/19).
