As a precaution, The Water Authority of Fiji has instituted health and safety protocols to protect their employees and customers who visit their offices from the COVID-19 virus.
“All our worksites, offices and customer centres are following a set of safety protocols that we have designed with the COVID-19 pandemic in mind,” said WAF CEO, Barry Omundson.
“We are, of course, following the guidelines set out by the Fijian Government’s Ministry of Health as well as our own set of protocols designed in mind with the kind of specialised work some of our team members do.”
“Effective immediately, if we can communicate via email or phone, we will do that instead of being in a group meeting. We are also practising social distancing – that is keeping about 1 meter away from others where we can and common-sense practices like not coughing on anyone, covering your mouth if you cough or sneeze to avoid spreading germs.”
“Our customers can be assured that we will maintain a hygienic environment for their safety when they come to us with queries and to pay their bills.
