The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is working to normalise water supply to residents of Koronivia, Nausori.
Last week Thursday (09/05), WAF had announced and issued a Public Advisory regarding ‘Planned Water Disruption Notice’ for WAF crew members to carry out cut-over works at six locations within the Koronivia area. The timeframe given was from 9pm Saturday (11/05) to 7am Sunday morning (12/05). Planned works were completed by 5am on Sunday morning (12/05).
Upon completion of these works, WAF crew members then identified a defective sluice valve, located between Farm Road and FNU Lab Road and a burst main located after the LDS Church. WAF is currently working to rectify this.
AREA STILL AFFECTED:
- Toga Road
- Koronivia Road
- Davuilevu, Nausori
- Fiji National University and the Koronivia Research Station
Meanwhile, during the unplanned disruption extensions, the Authority continued to inform its customers via text message blasts.
WAF crew members will continue to monitor the situation in Koronivia and more updates will be made available once water supply is normalised.
