The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in elevated areas of Buabua that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from 10:00am Tuesday (02/04/19) to 8:00am Wednesday (03/04/19).
AFFECTED AREAS INCLUDE:
Buabua Reservoir Reticulation
• Tomuka area
• Naikabula area

• Vatamai Rd & Village
• High Pressure Line (Drasa Dam rd, Johnson Rd, Tropik Rd)
Qalitu Reservoir Reticulation

The interruption in supply is a result of cut-in-works to install air valves on the Nalau Raw Water Line. These works require a partial shutdown of the raw water pipeline from the Nalau Dam, where raw water will only be supplied from the Buabua Dam to the Buabua Water Treatment Plant. This will result in the reduction of raw water supply, water production and water levels at Buabua Water Treatment Plant Reservoir and service reservoirs in the supply zone.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carts will be on standby to service the areas as and when the need arises.
Supply is expected to be gradually restored by 8am Wednesday morning (03/04/19).
We apologise for any inconvenience that this disruption may cause.
