Unplanned Disruption Notice – Tovata and Tamavua System
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) would like to advise our customers that due to the high turbidity caused by the recent heavy rain, we had to switch off some of our Waimanu pumps last night as a safety measure, resulting in low production levels for our Tovata and Tamavua systems.
As a result, our customers living in the areas listed below will be experiencing low to no water pressure until futher notice.
Affected aeas:
Tamavua WTP:
Low Pressure to No Water – all feeding from Tamavua Reservoir, Namadi Hts, Princess Rd, Rewa St, Ratu Sukuna, Nailuva, Delainavesi, High elevated Lami areas, Panaromic, Waiqanake, Togalevu
Colo-i-Suva Reservoir:
No water – Naisogo, Colo-i-Suva Crest Chicken, Princess Rd, Marshall Rd, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri Nillgrey
Dokanisuva Reservoir:
Low Pressure to Elevated areas – Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, Vunuleba Settlement
Tacirua Reservoir:
No water to high elevated areas. Tamavua Koro, Upper Ragg, Deovji St, Tacirua Bus, Amputch St, Princess Rd
Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in the case of an emergency by calling 5777 (all mobile networks).
