The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers that due to an unplanned power outage and subsequent power fluctuations, the Wainibuku pumps have tripped off.
As a result, inflow into the Wainibuku Reservoir and all other down stream reservoirs will be affected and customers residing in these areas listed below will experience a temporary disruption in their water supply.
Affected areas are:
– All Feeding from Tovata Reservoir
Makoi, Kalivetau, Veitata, Tovata Road, Qaranivalu, Caubati Koro, Daniva, Niubalavu, Raikiwai, Niuvula, Niusawa Lane, Tacirua East, Cunningham, Khalsa Road
– Kalabu Reservoir – Low Pressure to No Water
High elevated areas including all feeding from Kalabu Reservoir – Valelevu, Caqiri, Nawanawa, Koka, Kinoya Road, Vasant Lal, Vesivesi, Yasiyasi.
– All feeding from Nasinu Reservoir – Low Pressure to No Water
Kinoya, Caubati. Manohan, Center Point, Laucala Beach, Nokonoko, Koka, Kinoya Road, Vasant Lal, Fletcher, Mukta Ben, Vesivesi Road, Bryce Road, PRB Raiwai, Nairai Road, Lees Road.
Customers are kindly advised to store enough water in their homes, while it is available, to last them for at least 2 to 3 days and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
