The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers that due to high raw water turbidity, the clarifier at the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant has been affected resulting in reduced water production, to maintain water quality to a level that is safe for human consumption.
As a result, customers in the following areas are advised to expect a disruption in their water supply.
Affected areas are:
⚬ All feeding from Tamavua Reservoir – low pressure to no water
Namadi Heights, Princess Road, Rewa Street, Ratu Sukuna, Nailuva, Delainavesi, Panaromic, Uduya Point, Waiqanake, Osonabukete, Beniveli and Togalevu.
⚬ All feeding from Nagatugatu Reservoir – low pressure
Wrong Turn, Sakoca, Upper Khalsa, Tacirua Heights, Nagatugatu residents living beside the reservoir
⚬ Dokanaisuva reservoir – low pressure to elevated areas
Seventh Day Church Dokanaisuva to Tacirua Fijian School, Vunuleba Settlement
⚬ Coloisuva reservoir – low pressure to elevated areas
Naisogo, Colo-i-Suva Crest Chicken, Princess Road, Marshall Road, Taqairua, Vunikawai, Uluibeka, Colanaivau, Valesasa, Naitaqiri Nillgrey
Customers in the above areas are kindly advised to store in their homes, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standy and can be requested in case of an emergency by calling shortcode 1507 (all mobile networks).
