PLANNED DISRUPTION NOTICE – WAILA CLEAR WATER PUMP NO.6 REPAIR
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) would like to advise our customers that in the course of our asset monitoring, we found an issue with one of our Waila Clear Water Pumps, requiring urgent repair in order to prevent major damage and long term service disruptions. To do so, Clear Water Pump No. 6 will be shutdown from the evening of Wednesday, 11 August 2021, until further notice.
During this period, Clear Water Pump No. 5 will be brought into operation to cushion any impact to the supply of water, however, the Waila Clear Water Pumping Station will be operating at reduced capacity, and without a standby pump, which means that any failure of the pumps will result in disruptions to water supply.
As a result, customers served by the reservoirs listed below are kindly advised to prepare accordingly and to store water for last at least 2 to 3 days worth of use.
Reservoirs:
⚬ Wainibuku Reservoir
⚬ Tovata Reservoir
⚬ Kalabu Reservoir
⚬ Nasinu Reservoir
⚬ Flagstaff Reservoir
⚬ Nagatugatu Reservoir

Following the completion of works for Clear Water Pump No. 6, overhauling works will also be undertaken for Clear Water Pump No. 4.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalise.
