The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in elevated areas in Suva that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from now until further notice.
Affected areas include:
- Delainavesi
- Wairua
- Wailoku
- Lami up to Togalevu
- Namadi Heights
- Princes Road
- Samabula
- Rewa Street
- Waimanu Road
- Ratu Sukuna Road
The interruption in water supply is due to low levels at Tamavua Reservoirs as a result of river floodwaters causing blockages at the Savura and Waimanu Water Intakes from the adverse weather conditions currently being experienced.
WAF divers will be deployed to the sites, once flooded waters recede.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
