The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise customers living in parts of Navua that the low to intermittent supply of water currently faced is due to the collapse of one of the four boreholes at Nayagi, causing low to no inflow of water to the water treatment plant, resulting in low reservoir levels.
Affected areas include:
- Navua Town, Naitata, Naitonitoni and Vuninokonoko
- Queens Highway from Navua bridge to Nasasa junction
- Vakabalea, Busa Farm Road, Nasasa and Nasasa Back Road.
Our ground teams are working with the Mineral Resources Department (MRD) to conduct necessary maintenances to restore supply.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during this disruption period.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalize.
For further enquiries, customers can call 334 6777 and 5777 (Vodafone, Digicel & Inkk users) or email contact@waf.com.fj
