The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise customers living in elevated parts of Tamavua and surrounding areas that water supply will be disrupted from 10pm Saturday evening (09/05) to 6am Sunday morning (10/05).
Affected Areas Include:
- Cunningham Road – Rokosawa Junction
- Princes Road
- Fiji School of Nursing
- Fiji National University School of Public Health
- Naivurevure Road
- WAF Wailoku Depot
- Naranji Street
- Tamavua Village
- Deovji Street
- Upper Ragg Avenue
- Amputch Street
- Upper Wairua Road
- Upper Mead Road
- Lovoni Road
- Loa Street
- Kaba Road
- Goodrum Place
The interuption in water supply is to allow WAF ground teams to carry out urgent replacements to a 200mm valve located at the Tamavua Twomey Hospital, along Princes Road.
The Authority advises customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely and to store water for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period.
WAF urges customers to conserve and always store sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least two to three days in their homes at all times.
WAF also encourages customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
