New State of the Art Website For WAF’s Customers

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has launched a new state-of-the-art website to provide Fijians with high-quality online access to the authority – as part of WAF’s World Water Day Celebrations.

WAF CEO, Barry Omundson said that ease of use and clear presentation of important information were the main priorities when designing the website.

“We wanted to ensure that the website was easy to use and convenient for our customers. Besides improving how the website looks, we felt it was more important that when our customers visit our website, they are quickly able to find what they need,” said Mr Omundson.

“The new website has been revamped and streamlined to be more user friendly and provide customers with all relevant information and links at a glance, right on the homepage. For example, now we have the “Check My Bill” WebApp, which can be found at the top of the website and will allow our customers to quickly check their outstanding bill within seconds.”

WAF Board Chairman, Bhavesh Kumar said that the website is part of WAF’s continuing efforts to improve their overall operations, of which customer service is a critical component. “We have taken into account the needs of our customers, and their feedback. Essential information like disruption notices and advisories are all prominently displayed, and our social media feed has also been integrated into the homepage, for further accessibility,” said Mr Kumar, who added that another notable feature of the website is the custom interactive map on the homepage that shows all of WAF’s assets around the country.

“By presenting all necessary information on the homepage in an intuitive and accessible manner, we have made it into a one-stop-shop for our customers who may have queries or are looking to find news and updates.”
