Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) CEO, Mr. Barry Omundson today (06/01) began inspecting WAF sites in the Western Division.
Mr. Omundson was briefed by WAF’s Regional Manager Western, Mr. Romuluse Mataitoga on the status of water supply and wastewater services to Fijians in the Western parts of Fiji.
“We are committed to providing and improving water services and accessibility to Fijians.”
“This exercise is being conducted so that I can see our ground operations first hand and to meet our teams. I need to understand the needs on the ground as this will greatly assist me in my decision making, as I aim to improve the working culture at WAF,” said Mr. Omundson.
CEO Omundson visited the Olosara wastewater treatment plant, Sigatoka customer service center, WAF Sigatoka Depot, Matovo water treatment plant as well as the Keiyasi water treatment plant.
He also inspected the works at the new Nawaicoba reservoir site.
Meanwhile, Mr. Omundson was accorded to a traditional welcome ceremony by the WAF team at the Novotel, in Nadi.
Mr. Omundson will be visiting the other treatment plants and major project sites in the Western and Northern divisions, in the coming weeks.
