“This water project benefits 85 households, including the Naqaqa SDA Primary School, and stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through collaborative efforts. Outsourced to a contractor, the project involved the construction of a new dam, two 10,000-litre reservoirs, and pipe fittings to ensure water reaches every household in this village and the surrounding area,” said Minister Tuisawau.
Hon. Tuisawau said that the impact of this initiative extends far beyond the pipes and reservoirs.
“This initiative underscores our commitment to providing essential services to every Fiji citizen, regardless of location or circumstances. The completion of this project is a significant step towards achieving our national vision outlined in the 20-year National Development Plan – a vision where every Fijian has access to clean and safe water.”
Minister Tuisawau said that the water project symbolizes hope, health, and progress for the Naqaqa SDA Primary School as well as the wider community.
“To the students of Fulton Primary School gathered here today, I urge you to recognise the importance of this achievement. Clean water is not just a necessity but a fundamental human right. As future leaders of our nation, I encourage you to cherish and protect this invaluable resource,” said Hon. Tuisawau.
