The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) held its 2022 Western Division Annual Customer Forum at the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka on 29/6/22.
This follows the successful customer forum held in the Central Division last month.
WAF CEO, Dr Amit Chanan, said that being able to hold these forums and engage directly with customers once again was very important.
“After having been postponed for the past 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is great to be able to hold these forums as they give us the opportunity to have a face-to-face dialogue with our customers and provide them with updates on our current projects and initiatives,” said Dr Chanan.
“The feedback that we get is invaluable and is an essential component in our planning of upcoming development to assist our customers.”
Two sessions were held, one in the morning aimed at business customers and an afternoon one for residential customers – allowing for targeted discussions relevant to both sets of customers.
In addition to WAF’s current projects and future plans to expand and enhance water supply capacity and provision, the recently launched WAF app was also highlighted where customers can manage their account and issues, as well as receive information directly at their fingertips.
WAF personnel, including the CEO, presented slides and detailed various tasks and projects to the guests, as well as answering any questions that were posed.
The forum also included the announcement of the 50 winners of WAF’s e-billing registration draw, who will receive 100 dollars each.
A final customer forum for the Northern Division will be held at the Labasa Hotel Takia on 8 August, 2022.
