WAF UPDATE – Benau and Volanau Reservoirs Levels
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) would like to advise our customers that water levels in the above listed reservoirs are currently dropping to critically low levels caused by low raw water production from our Nasealevu intake.
As such, we ask residents/businesses in the following areas to prepare accordingly and store enough water for use during this temporary disruption period.
Affected areas:
📍Benau Reservoir –
Rara, Lajonia, Avua, Saint Augustine, Qelewaqa, Qaloyaga, TIri, Bocalevu, Wailevu, Siberia, Batinikama, Vunivau, Soasoa, Vunika, Cawaira and Basoga.
📍Volanau Reservoir –
Vitadra, Vaturekuka, Vatunibale, Vunivau Cemetry Road, Mani Road, Prince Andrew Road, Low Cost, Bulileka College, Urata, Boca, Boubale and Dreketilailai.
Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in the case of an emergency by calling 5777.
