Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) teams together with relevant utility providers and contractors are undertaking maintenance works on the leaking Nabua Wastewater Pump Station DN700 concrete rising main pipeline along Ratu Mara Road, in front of Ratu Sukuna Memorial School.
The travelling public is hereby advised to make alternative travel arrangements when commuting from Nasinu along Ratu Mara Road towards Suva City, as both the Suva bound lanes have been closed and the Nausori bound lane has been reduced to one – this has been done to ensure safety.
Our teams began works from 6pm last night (22/07) to identify the leaking section of the pipeline – presently demolishing works on the anchor blocks are being carried out.
Due to the extensive Occupation Health and Safety (OHS) requirements to make the site safe for work, extensive traffic management is currently in place and may cause travel delays.
The Authority also requests that the travelling public be mindful of the workers who are presently working in the area.
