The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in the following parts of Labasa that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from this morning (22/07) until further notice.
Affected Areas include:
- Qawa
- Vunivau
- Basoga
- Soasoa
- Batinikama
- Bulileka
- Urata
- Boubale
The interruption in supply is due to a leakage to the DN300 under-river Benau to Volanau distribution pipeline, crossing the Labasa River, Nabeka, Siberia.
WAF crew members are working to rectify and repair the suspected leakage.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water supply is expected to be gradually normalised by once repairs have been completed.
Water carting trucks have been deployed to service the affected areas.
