PLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – SIGATOKA
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) would like to advise our customers in Sigatoka that our technicians will be carrying out cleaning works on the Sedimentation Tank No.1 at the Matovo Water Treatment Plant from 8:00 am Friday, 22 October 2021, until further notice.
As a result of these essential cleaning works, customers residing in the areas listed below will experience low water pressure to no water supply.
Affected areas are:
⚬ Elevated areas of Olosara
⚬ Korotogo and neighbouring areas
⚬ Part of Sigatoka Town
⚬ Lawaqa area
⚬ Kedrakulu and neighbouring areas
⚬ Yadua neighbouring areas
⚬ Elevated areas of Cuvu Back Road
⚬ Naroro and Malevu Village
⚬ Sigatoka Hospital and neighbouring areas
Customers in the above areas are kindly advised to store in their homes, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
Customers are also encouraged to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup water supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
Water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in case of an emergency by calling shortcode 1507 (all mobile networks).
