PLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – WAINIKAVIKA INTAKE
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers that our technicians will be conducting desilting works at the Wainikavika intake, to clear gravel and silt that has piled up during the recent heavy downpours, from 10:00am Wednesday, 06 October 2021, until further notice.
As a result of these essential works, our customers in the areas listed below will experience a temporary disruption in their water supply.
Affected areas are:
Queens Highway from Navua Hospital to Navua Bridge:
⚬ Navua Hospital
⚬ Tokotoko Highway
⚬ Tokotoko Back Road
Nakavu Road from Navua Roundabout to Waiyanitu
⚬ Calia, Calia Back Road
⚬ Rio settlement
⚬ Raiwaqa ALTA
Customers in the above areas are kindly advised to store in their homes, sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least 2 to 3 days and are requested to use water wisely during this temporary disruption period.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalise.
