The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise Fijians living in the following parts of Deuba that they are currently experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from now until further notice.
Affected areas include:
– Queens highway from Nasasa junction to Galoa.
- Viwawa
- Rovadrau
- Waikalou
- Nakaulevu
- Waidradra
- Makosoi
- Pacific Harbour
- Lepanoni
- Qarasarau
- Wainiyabia
- Vanuadogo
- Vunimaqo
- Lomary
- Galoa
The interruption in water supply is caused by blockages at the raw-water intake resulting in low to no inflow to the water treatment plant, this is due to heavy rains currently being experienced.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
The clearing of the raw-water intakes will take place once flood waters recede.
Meanwhile, water carting trucks will deployed to service the affected areas, weather permitting.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
