The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise our customers that blockage due to debris caused by heavy rain has affected our Cascade, Waimanu, and Waila pumps. As a result, our Tamavua Water Treatment Plant was unable to produce enough safe water to ensure that the attached reservoir has sufficient water to service the Tamavua Supply zone.
Our diving teams have cleared the blockage, however, until water levels normalise, customers living in the areas listed below will experience disruptions in their water supply.
Affected Areas(feeding from Tamavua Reservoir) :
- Qauia Street
- Navikinikini Settlement
- Uduya Point
- Namadi Heights
- Elevated areas along Princess Road, including Upper Bureta and Upper Samabula Area
- Pathik Crescent
- Mika Dreu
- Upper Tuisowaqa
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during this disruption period.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalise.
