The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in the Sigatoka area that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from Thursday, 01 April, 2021.
The interruption in supply is to allow WAF ground teams to carry out cleaning works of the Sedimentation Tank No.2 at the Matovo Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
During the cleaning works, the raw water inflow into the Matovo WTP shall be reduced during the temporary disruption period.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare accordingly and to store a sufficient amount of water that will last them and their families for at least two to three days.
Water carting trucks will be on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period.
Affected areas include:
Part of Sigatoka Town and surrounding areas
Nayawa and Laselase Villages
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and seek your understanding and patience until such time supplies normalise.
