Water restoration in Nadi and Lautoka is currently in progress after the successful completion of the repair at the Nagado Water Treatment Plant. About 90% of the areas have been already restored.
However, the restoration operation was affected by three major pipe bursts which occurred in the transmission system due to aging infrastructure. The repair works to these bursts has been completed and water is now restored back to the system.
Areas that are located at the end of reticulation system and some isolated higher elevated areas will still experience low water pressures till Thursday.
Areas Affected Include;
- Nagado, Nadele, Holika, Votualevu area
- Taci, Togomasi, Togo Lavusa, Solovi, Meiganiyah
- Areas from Malolo to Fiji Marriot Momi Bay Resort.
Our operations team is working round the clock to normalize the system.
Water carts will be on standby to service the affected areas as and when requested.
Water supply is expected to be restored by latest Thursday (08/02/2018).
Customers are to be advised that this disruption is not related to the shutdown that happened over the weekend till Tuesday 5pm but is a result of major pipe burst that has happened due to aging infrastructure.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
