The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) urges Fijians who are able to pay their water bills in full to do so. This comes in light of many customers not clearing bills during the disconnection grace period which ends on 31 July 2020.
Customers are reminded that they are not exempt from payment and that disconnections were stopped as part of WAF’s COVID19 care package to ensure Fijians have access to water which is essential in the fight against the virus.
WAF has suspended disconnections until the end of July to help ease financial difficulties being faced by Fijians due to the COVID-19 crisis.
This grace period should not be looked at as an opportunity to dodge bills – if you can, continue to pay as normal.
