The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in the elevated areas in Flagstaff and Rewa Street that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from now until further notice.
Affected Areas Include:
• Rewa Street
• Nailuva Road
• Borron Road
• Howell Road
• Flagstaff Area
• Mariko Street
• Ratu Sukuna Road
• Domain Road
• Knolly Street
The interruption in supply is due to low inflow of raw water from Waila Raw Water Pumping Station to the Waila Water Treatment Plant, resulting in low water levels to the Flagstaff Reservoir.
The current water level at the reservoir as of 8:30am this morning (17/07) is 1.4meters.
A water level of 2meters is required for the reticulation to operate efficiently, and WAF crew members currently working to get the reservoir refilled through the Tamavua head.
Meanwhile, the Authority kindly advises its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks have been deployed to service the affected areas.
Water supply is expected to be gradually normalised once water levels in the Flagstaff Reservoir improves.
The Authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
