Please be advised that repair works on DN500 main were successfully completed and supply to the Lolobalavu reservoir has been restored. WAF crew members have gradually opened the supply towards the Southern end of Nadi as of 9.50pm last night (09/10) to normalize the supply to the affected customers and have seen supply to elevated areas gradually restored.
PUBLIC ADVISORY – UNPLANNED WATER DISRUPTION NOTICE – NADI – 09.10.19
The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise its customers living in the southern end of Nadi from Nadi Town to Marriott that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent water supply from now until 8AM Thursday (10/10).
Affected areas include:
- Nadi Town, Nadi Hospital, Nawaka
- Nadi Back Road, Solovi, Togalavusa, Vuniyasi Road, Bulubulu Road, Togamasi, Dratabu, Qeleloa,
- Blackstone, Malakua, Moala, Malolo, Navo, Transmitter, Tunalia Korovuto, Farmers Rd, Sonasali, Veilandhan, Mate Road, Nadovi,
- Arolevu, Nawaicoba, Waireba, Yako, Yako Hill side, Yako Temple, Yako Seaside, Yako Village, Uciwai, Nalovo, Nabila, Marriott.
The interruption in supply is due to the damage by a third party contractor on the DN500 bulk transmission pipeline along Solovi in Nadi, which supplies treated water from Nagado Water Treatment Plant to customers in Nadi.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
WAF crew members are working to repairs the leakage.
Water carting trucks have been deployed to service the areas.
Water supply is expected to be restored by 8AM Thursday, 10th October, 2019.
