Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) customers living in parts of Korovou may experience low water pressure to intermittent supply from 9pm Friday (15/05) to 6am Saturday (16/05).
Affected Areas Include:
- Korovou Town
- Korovou Hospital
- Nakorovou Village
- Nailega Village
- Nabilo Settlement
- Matacaucau Village
- Deep Water Nasuvasuva
- Maji Government Quarters
- Viwa Settlement
The interruption in supply is due to allow WAF ground teams to carry out cut-in works at the Korovou roundabout as well as at the Korovou water treatment plant’s pumping main.
The Authority advises customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely and to store water for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
WAF urges all Fijians to practice self-reliance and to have at least 2 days worth of water stored at all times.
WAF also encourages customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time that water supplies normalise.
